Things I like: being back at university, having something to do all day. Things I don't like: failing a job interview because I'm a student and, therefore, unreliable. Their loss. Being back at university is great - there's so much going on and I'm being kept busy, which I like. Unfortunately, all this means I've fallen behind with my reviews, in particular with my 2000 AD reviews because of its weekly nature. That can't be helped, I suppose, and I'll try to get back on track before the next issue is released. I can't say I've done all that much today, which makes a change as I've been out every night this week - tiring, but fun. Today has been a welcome, and much-needed, rest. I'm not used to being out every night and plan not to get used to it - otherwise I won't have time to study and do all the problems which are set. If that were to happen, I'd fail to 'keep term', which wouldn't be good as I'd be asked to leave the university. So, only a few nights out a week from now on. One of which is tonight! The Astronomy Society is having an introductory observation night, where everyone who is new to the society (including me) gets to find out how to work the university's telescopes up in the observatory. We also get a key to the telescopes, which is great. I'm not planning to use the telescopes all that much, but I do plan to use them every now and again, so a key is a great thing to have. |
